As you may know, Sr Carmele lost 16 nuns from her Congregation in Haiti.

The following Filles-de-Marie schools have been destroyed: Trou Sable, Saintard, Petion-Ville, Elie-Dubois,Bel-Air. Lascahobas is damaged. and perhaps Maison Provinciale (will know for sure tomorrow).

Group Souffle Nouveau will meet this coming Sunday (1/31) @ St Martin de Porres (basement) to prepare boxes of food and clothes. If you wish to help, you may drop off items (listed below). We will be there from 5pm to 8ish.

Below is a list of items that they need (actually everything, the survivors have nothing left....) - These items will be distributed throughout the congregation as appropriate.

1.Toothpaste/toothbrushes
2. Combs/Hair brush/hair pins/ hair pomade
3. Soap/deodorant/sanitary napkins, laundry powder soap
4. Tylenol, aspirin (if possible antibiotics such as Amoxicillin…500mg or other)
5. Towels/ washcloth/ Q-tips/

6. Bed linens
7. Underwear – bras , panties, panty hose (S, M, L, and XL)
8. Clothes – Tops, skirts, dresses, moumou (S, M, L, and XL)
9. Shoes, (Size 7M to 10 M), socks, slippers (sapates)
10. Canned goods
11. rice, beans, pasta, sugar, mais moulu (corn), flour,
12. Salmon, sardine, morue, tuna, spam ect
13. batteries, flashlights
14. needle/thread/ scarf (mouchoir pour tete)
15. paper plates, cups, plastic flatware
16. Medical supplies/first aid
17. Energy bars/ dried nuts/ peanut butter/ jelly/
